The implants were left for 3-4 months until they have joined correctly with the gums ( the denture could still be worn over the healing implants). You can see the healing caps below where the implants were placed.

After this, a fixed bridge was made and carefully attached to the implants. The bridge is permanent and is never removed – just like having your own teeth back again.

Richard was really pleased now that he could smile and chew with complete confidence again!

After Victoria’s journey, we asked her to tell us about the experience:-

What made you choose Precision Dental?

I knew the location in Rotherham well having worked just up the road; it was easy to get to from work and so appealed to me in the first instance for those reasons. The information I received over the phone on initially enquiring was very accurate and I was prepared with the price and what my treatment would include. Stephen and the team were incredibly welcoming from that first appointment and explained the options available to me. Payment options, including finance and appointments were all discussed at that first appointment so I went away knowing everything I needed to make my decision.

How did it impact on your everyday life Victoria?

At first I felt quite conscious of having the brace in, my lips felt like they were sticking out really far!! At first my teeth felt quite sensitive and tender even to the lightest touch but that quickly passed and even with adjustments it wasn’t that uncomfortable at any time during treatment. It was difficult to bite into things but if I chopped things up I didn’t feel like I missed out on much. After having my braces taken off some of my colleagues even commented that they didn’t know I had had a brace on, so that proves how discrete they are.

How does Victoria feel now?

I am over the moon with the outcome of my treatment; I couldn’t be happier and love to smile. I’ve had plenty of comments about how white my teeth are and how lovely my smile is. The wedding photos turned out perfectly, I couldn’t stop smiling.

To start, we took photographs, an X-ray and digital scans which were sent off the the 6MS case processing facility in Texas USA. and 2 weeks later, the braces were fitted. Peter was reviewed every 4 weeks for his adjustment appointments and after just 6 months, his teeth were beautifully straight as you can see below!

After Pete’s journey, we asked him to tell us about his experience:-

1. Tell us why you wanted your teeth straightening

Mainly because of these two teeth (pointing to his incisors at either side of his front teeth) looked like they were disappearing behind my front teeth, so every time I wanted to have a picture taken, or someone wanted to take a picture of me, I was always sort of hiding my teeth and tried not to smile with my teeth, more of just a closed mouth smile.

Mainly obviously because it just takes 6 months, and I had heard good reports as well from people.

I believe it did take just six months

5. How did it impact on your everyday life, did you have to change anything?

I had to be wary of what I ate, because I love curries, so I had to obviously lay off them a little bit, and I still am laying off them actually – I don’t touch them now really. And obviously brushing a lot more and using the floss and the tepe brushes.

6. How do you feel now?

Great, I feel brilliant now, I am a lot more confident.  Especially smiling and especially with the whitening done as well, I feel a lot more confident.
